Digital labels

Leading industry publication Labels and Labelling Magazine paid Soabar HQ a visit recently to do an in-depth feature on our partnership with Konica Minolta.

We joined forced with the leading provider of digital and print technologies in October 2016, when we installed England’s first C71cf Digital Press in our factory.

We invested in the machine to help streamline our services and enhance our product offering to customers. The C71cf enables us to offer short run, high quality labels, meaning our customers benefit from cheaper printing and faster turnaround times.

The new machine has also allowed us to offer even more reliability and consistency, helping to expand our customer base and generate new revenue streams. Because it is the first and only machine in England at the moment, we have worked closely with Konica Minolta to promote it to other suppliers across the UK and Europe.

We have help a number of open day events where Kinolta’s partners have come to Leicester to view the press and its capabilities at first hand. And as a result of our partnership, we were invited to take part in

In the feature, we talk about the history and origins of Soabar, our current business performance and our plans for the future.

Our MD, Phil Achurch, told report James Quirk, who wrote the feature: “œWe were looking at HP Indigo and Xeikon machines initially. But when we saw the Konica Minolta press, we were impressed by the color gamut it could hit and the quality of the solids it could produce.

Our Production Director, Rob Gallagher, added: “œWe focus on service rather than price. We install and maintain the machines. We are a one-stop shop, providing machines, labels and service.”
